How it works

From first call to finished job

  1. Step 1

    In-Person Design Meeting

We meet on site to discuss your goals, style, and how you want the space to function. We’ll typically ask for a few inspiration photos to help define the look.

  2. Step 2

    Plat Plan & Layout

We’ll request a plat plan (usually found in your home’s closing documents or builder files).

  3. Step 3

    Design & Estimate Walkthrough

We meet via Zoom for a one-hour call to review the final design and walk through the estimate line by line, explaining exactly what each portion of the project costs.

  4. Step 4

    Final Design Review

You’ll have one opportunity to make adjustments based on the completed design. Once finalized, you’ll receive a PDF copy of the plan.

  5. Step 5

    Design Consultation

We’ll review your goals, style preferences, and how you want the space to function.

What's included

Landscape: what we handle

  • Drainage first — shape grade and transitions so water moves where should and planting areas perform long-term.
  • Fix the soil — amend Boise-area soils with a sand/compost blend for healthier roots and a strong start for sod.
  • Add dimension + privacy — create soft elevation changes, boulder accents, and strategic planting to break up flat yards.

FAQ

Landscape: common questions

How long before I can use new concrete?

Concrete keeps gaining strength for weeks. Foot traffic is usually fine after a day or two, cars after about a week, and heavy vehicles later than that. Temperature and the mix change the timing, so follow the instructions given for your pour.

Will my new concrete crack?

Concrete shrinks as it cures, and some cracking is normal. Control joints are cut or tooled into the slab so cracks form along straight, planned lines instead of at random. A well-compacted base, the right thickness and reinforcement keep cracks small and tight.

Can concrete be poured in cold or hot weather?

Yes, with precautions. In cold weather, fresh concrete must be kept from freezing while it cures, often under insulated blankets, and it's never poured on frozen ground. In hot weather it sets faster, so pours start early in the day and the surface is kept from drying out too soon.

Should I seal my concrete?

Sealing helps outdoor concrete resist water, de-icing salts, oil stains and freeze-thaw damage, and keeps colored and stamped concrete looking fresh. Timing depends on the product: some sealers go on right after finishing, others once the concrete has cured for about a month. Most need reapplying every few years.

Do I need a permit for concrete work?

It depends on the city. Driveway aprons and public sidewalks usually need a permit because they connect to the street, and some cities require one for new driveways or larger slabs. Patios and walkways on private property often don't. Check with your city or HOA.

What areas do you serve?
